Compare Perfect Kennel Floor™
Traditional kennel ground covers such as concrete, gravel and wood chips have some distinct disadvantages:
Concrete is expensive and permanent. It's hard on your dog's foot pads and leg joints. It doesn't drain, so liquids pool on its surface, encouraging the growth of mold, mildew and harmful bacteria. If your kennel already has a concrete floor, you can still use our flooring. Click here to see how!
Decking is expensive, it requires a hard flat surface and achieving the correct size is difficult. Feces and debri can be hard to remove from between the joints and corners.
Gravel, on its own, is uncomfortable to walk and lie on. Removing feces from gravel can be difficult and messy.
Wood chips can result in foot pad splinters, they deteriorate over time and have to be replaced regularly. Like gravel, clean up of feces is a problem and ingestion of wood chips can cause serious intestinal problems.
The obvious choice:
All four of these traditional ground covers can be detrimental to the health of your dog.
